While I was up late one night pondering the mysterious workings of the universe, I decided to ‘play’ with my own toys…….and completely by accident discovered an astounding new light effect. Putting a multifaceted crystal inside the exit hole of the Turntable light shaft will create intense, vibrant, almost alive, swirling light patterns on an entire ceiling and significant areas of your walls…….morphing from color to color, plus changing in intensity as it progresses. In addition it’s completely random….fast changing, unpredictable, and amorphous patterns, so you’ll have an enormous challenge memorizing the sequences (don’t even try). By rotating it at other angles, you can create sets of entirely different images. I would liken one set of patterns to looking at light reflecting off water onto walls or ceilings (just much more interesting) and the other set to maybe churning multicolored clouds…..this is so hard to describe in words……maybe once you’ve seen it you’ll come up with a completely different observation. I want to think of 60’s mood lights, but this is beyond that. One enterprising individual bought a dedicated Light Base for a dark area under a set of stairs in his very large house….the Crystal Insert accomplished the desired objective by creating a magnificent morphing display in an area that otherwise would’ve remained dark and uninteresting.
